A celebrated icon of effortless French style and the founder of her own fashion label, a designer shares her personal diary from the recent New York Fashion Week. The itinerary included major runway shows and an event for her own brand.
On New York City Tips:
“I always stay at the same hotel—I love building habits when I travel. Staying in neighborhoods buzzing with young, creative energy is incredibly inspiring; it feels different from Paris and gives me so many ideas. A key travel tip, especially as a parent, is to take melatonin on the flight to sleep properly and fight jet lag.”
Favorite Moment:
“A getaway to The Met to see a specific painting exhibition. It was a calm moment of discovery. The Met is a must-stop for me in NYC; there’s always something to see.”
Best Thing Eaten or Drunk:
“The best BLT is definitely in New York. I love having a second breakfast at a particular spot, sometimes even taking one to-go before flying home. For drinks, a certain bar with a terrace feels like a little Parisian escape.”
Favorite Shops & Places:
“Vintage shopping is always on my list, with several specific stores as go-tos. For a beautiful new French dining experience with modern cuisine, a certain restaurant was incredible. The MoMA is always a good idea, along with several art galleries.”
On Trends & Packing:
“I arrived wearing my Blundstones without realizing how ubiquitous they were here, but in -20°C weather, you understand why. My packing essentials include a personal travel talisman, a perfect sleep kit with melatonin and my own pillow, a hair diffuser, simple makeup, and a big bag. For the cold, thermal layers, a neck warmer, good boots, and shearling are key. I also packed workout clothes this time—exercising in the morning helps reset your body when jet-lagged.”
On The New Collection & Future Plans:
The new collection is inspired by strong, timelessly feminine women, focusing on confidence, subtle sensuality, and easy-to-wear iconic pieces. Marking the brand’s 10th anniversary, future aspirations include opening a nostalgic concept café, organizing an artistic first major show, expanding boutiques in Europe and Asia, deepening philanthropic support, and further developing the lifestyle side of the brand through interiors and artisanal collaborations.
Final Note:
“New York always reminds me why I love creation so much. The energy is intense, bold, fearless. It pushes me to dream bigger.”
